Images for travel inspiration: Perito Moreno glacier
A nimbus of eternal peace surrounded by pristine nature. That´s the most accurate expression I can find to describe the sight of the Perito Moreno Glacier located in Los Glaciares National Park in Patagonia. The view is breathtaking from the very moment you approach the glacier by boat, and it is even possible to touch the floes with your own hands. You can take these boats from a dock located about 4 km before you reach the glacier.
This huge mass of ice is almost the same size as the city of Buenos Aires (around 200 km2), and is considered by some as the eighth wonder of the world, due to the magnificent landscape it offers.
This image was taken at the mirador of the glacier. Right after I took the picture, a melting had taken place in front of my eyes and something like that doesn’t happen often. That image will remain forever in my memory. The Perito Moreno Glacier is definitely a “must” if you are a big fan of natural sceneries. If you happen to be in Patagonia you can’t miss out on this magnificent colossus, and I’m sure it would be an unforgettable experience.
